Children’s Museum
The Museum’s educators will be onsite to provide a Bastille Day inspired story time in the Poetry Garden. Traditional French stories such as Le Petit Prince, Puss in Boots, Sleeping Beauty, and Little Red Riding Hood will be read in English by Courtney Teno and Lindsey Dunwoodie. Children ages 10 and younger will enjoy these engaging and educational stories as part of the day’s activities!
Time: July 9th and 10th at 11:00 – 11:30 am, 2:00 – 2:30 pm, and 4:00 – 4:30 pm

Home Depot Tile Painting
Home Depot will be providing a tile decorating station where children can create their own souvenirs of Bastille Day.

Fencing Demonstrations by Salle Auriol
The mission of Salle Auriol is to train participants in the sport of modern Olympic fencing and to provide a venue for fencers to develop those skills towards participation in local, regional, national and international competition. The fencing demonstration will be composed of 15 min of fleuret (foil) fencing, 15 min of épée (sword) fencing, and 15 min sabre fencing.

Citroën Car Exhibition
The North West Citroën Owner’s Club(NWCOC) was incorporated as a non-proft organization in 1989 for the benefit of all French car devotes. With over 100 members in the Vancouver B.B.-Seattle-Portland area, they hold a half-dozen meetings throughout the year. Although Citroen is the dominant mark in the club, some members own Peugeot, Renault, Panhard, and even more exotic automobiles. There will be three cars on display!

Pétanque
The Seattle Pétanque Club and Edmonds Pétanque Club will hold a demonstration of the sport on a 10′x30′ temporary pétanque terrain. Attendees will also be able to play pétanque on the field.

Waiters’ Race
Calling all children 12 and under to participate in a waiters’ race where each contestant will race through a designated course while balancing a bottle of Perrier and a plastic cup on a waiter’s tray. The winner’s prize is a béret!
