2011 in Review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 15,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Festál Fabric of America Wrap-Up

December 2011 marks the end of the year long Festál Fabric of America Project in which the Bastille Day Festival participated.  Generously funded by the Wallace Foundation and the Washington State Arts Commission, this project  had the goal of creating  an online site for young audiences of the Greater Seattle Area to express themselves creatively and reflect on cultural arts. Young people across Washington state, around the country, and throughout the world were encouraged to respond to a question on the FFAP: E=mc2 website by submitting photographs, videos or statements.

The Bastille Day Festival was fortunate to be joined by the Arab Festival, the Iranian Festival and many Seattle Center staff and volunteers.
