Founded in 1980, Seattle-Nantes Sister City Association is composed of individuals and organization interested in promoting close ties between the people of Seattle and Nantes, France. Our goals are to advance education, cultural, and commercial relations between Seattle and Nantes, and to inform and educate the public about our sister city.

Seattle Pétanque Club/Edmonds Pétanque Club:

These two official pétanque clubs are affiliated with national and international organizations. They provide a number of services including the issuing of competition licenses. Dedicated to the promotion of the sport of pétanque in the Seattle region, they hold tournaments, demonstrations and lessons in the sport of pétanque. Handouts on the two clubs and their activities will be available at the booth. There will also be a 10′x30′ temporary pétanque terrain where the sport will be demonstrated.

L’UFE est une Association reconnue d’utilité publique. Enjoy the fun of a resident camp that has existed since 1969 in the San Juan Islands. French, from debutant to avancé, is taught by French and American counselors to campers, ages 9-16, and families. Campers can participate in a wide range of activities such as fencing, archery, sailing, kayaking, photography, theater, art, marine biology, and French cooking. Swimming pool and tennis courts are located in the camp. This ACA accredited camp provides 2- and 3-week sessions.
